Sketch-a-day 98

I colored a study i did for an upcoming piece because this place was itching for an update.

Lots of stuff has been going on lately, and I'll go into it more when i post up some finishes later in the week.

Beautiful piece. Is it ink or markers?

Neat-O. Reminds me of Tim Sale a bit. Check him out. http://www.timsale1.com/blackandwhite/index.html

Hey Finn, it was actually my first time using a crow quill and nibs. So indian ink to answer your question. Definitely going to be my go to for inking now. Definitely can't beat the quick line variation with how precise it can be at the same time.

Luckily it worked out on the vietnam one considering that was attempt no. 2.

Oscar: thanks man. I'm definitely familiar with his work due to heroes of all things. Although I looked him up primarily to see if his actual work was better than the heroes stuff. I love how he inks, but the actual characterization he does just rubs me the wrong way.
